It's been a very busy year for the British Army. In October they staged a live firing exercise for soldiers, armoured vehicles and Apache helicopters on Salisbury Plain. The Land Combat Power Visit was designed to demonstrate the power of such a large unit in different offensive and defensive scenarios and was played out in front of senior defence personnel, civil servants and diplomats. | HM Armed Forces

Police forces joined soldiers from 5 RIFLES recently in Longmoor to practice their skills in counter-terrorist operations.
